Montchavin

Monchavin is in the centre of 'Paradiski', a 425km piested ski resort. It is a small lively village and has lots of cheerful, busy bars and resturants. Montchavin is a working authentic farming village and lots of local produce is available. There is a sherpa supermarket, and many giftshops. 

There are two ski ifts out of the village, both of which are accesable from the  ski in - ski out. 

In the village there are two ski school facilities, ESF and Evolution 2. In the summer Evolution provide lots of thrilling summer activities including paragliding and mountain biking.

Also in the village is a cinema showing French films - great if you wish to develop your French.

In the village hall there is a grand piano with floor to ceiling windows providing stunning views of the savoie mountain range as you play.

There is a bus service which runs to the higher village of Les Coches, which has an ice skating ring, more shops, reaturants and bars.

In Montchavin there is a lift pass office where you can buy ski passes  and obtain informatiuon about the area.

There are also several delicatessents and bakeries which have fresh food and local specialities.

Most of the locals speak very good English so it is ok if you are not French speaking!
